^Lot 4270 RARE .22 LR COLT BANKERS SPECIAL DOUBLE ACTION

REVOLVER. Cal. 22 LR. S#. 368799. Mfg. 1934. Colt produced the Bankers Special from 1926-40. However, the 22 LR variant was not available until 1934, the year that this revolver was produced. Most 22LR revolvers are found within the 368,000- 369,300 range with some exceptions. This revolver is fitted with the standard 2" bbl with 2-line patent marking with a final patent date of Oct. 5, 1926 & roll stamped " 22 BANKERS / SPECIAL " on the left side. 6-shot fluted hand ejecting cylinder is mounted in the round butt frame. Original 2-piece checkered walnut Colt medallion grips with matching SN "8799" found on the underside. CONDITION: Overall very fine. The revolver retains 95% of the original blue with some light muzzle/edge wear, small dragline between the cylinder stops and a few minor handling marks.
