RIFLE. Cal. 38 W (38 WCF). S# 21259. Mfg. 1888, first year of production. Oct. 24" barrel with bead front sight, Rocky Mountain rear sight & Lyman combination sight. Walnut stock set w/ crescent buttplate. CONDITION: over 85% original blue with brown patina mixed in along with considerable scratches on receiver & peppery oxidation. Lever & buttplate have fading case colors with peppery oxidation. Original wood finish show wear on forearm & numerous handling marks; sm. chip right side wrist & hairline crack right side top tang. Truly excellent shiny bore with sharp rifling. (01-29803/MD). ANTIQUE. $4,000-6,000.
