^Lot 4094 VERY GOOD WINCHESTER 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

Cal. 44-40. S# 450686. Mfg. 1908. This nice example of standard grade 1892 is fitted with the 24" round bbl with 3rd style 2 line bbl address "MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED OCTOBER 14. 1884." & "44 W.C.F." caliber marking on the top of the bbl. It has a dovetailed brass tip sporting front sight and a elevator adj semi buckhorn sporting rear sight. The straight grip frame is marked with the 2nd style "MODEL 1892 / -WINCHESTER- / TRADEMARK" tang marking. The hammer has the 2nd style knurling. The smooth straight grip stock set terminate with a smooth steel crescent buttplate. CONDITION: overall very good. The bbl retains 90% of its original blue with some cleaned finish loss at the muzzle with some light pitting in the cleaned area and a couple of very small patches of light pitting. The mag tube has 95% lightly thinning blue with some light handling marks. The frame has 90% of its original finish with a few small spots of shallow pitting, light thinning in carry areas and some scattered mild handling marks. The loading gate has 90% of its lightly thinning fire blue remaining. Very good stock set. The forearm has some light dents, minor edge chips and scratches mostly on the right side. Butt has a few scattered minor handling marks and scratches with a tiny bit of finish wear. Very nice bright bore with good rifling. (25-6708/ZAL). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
