^Lot 2515 2 JAPANESE SHIN-GUNTO KATANA.

1) Overall length is 39 1/2" with a 29 3/8" blade having an irregular hamon and a gilded brass habaki. Classic 4 cherry blossom tsuba with 2 seppa above and below. The nakago has no signature with two mekugi-ana. Tuska has matching fuchi and kabuto-gane with white same and 3 cherry blossom menuki. The tsuka is wrapped with light brown tsuka-ito. The metal saya has a glossy dark green painted finish and matching gunto. CONDITION: blade has a fine polish. Tsuka is undamaged but dirty. Saya shows very light wear overall. 2) Overall length is 39 3/4" with a 27" blade having a straight hamon. Silvered copper habaki. Classic 4 cherry blossom gilded brass tsuba with 2 seppa above and below. The nakago has a 7 character signature on one side and a 2 character signature on the other with a single mekugi-ana. Tuska has matching fuchi and kabuto-gane with white same and silvered 3 cherry blossom menuki. Tsuka has a tan/light orange tsuka-ito. Metal saya with a dark brown painted finish and matching gunto. CONDITION: blade has a very fine polish. Tsuka is undamaged but a bit soiled. Saya shows overall light wear. (02-26661-6/BF). NON-GUN. $800-1,200.
