Lot 1222 COBRAY / FMJ STREET SWEEPER 12 GA REVOLVING

SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 GA. S# 9300031. Bbl. 18". A copy of the South African Striker-12, Cobray's Street Sweeper saw only a few short years of production, when in 1994, the ATF determined that the Street Sweeper did not meet the "sporting purpose" exemption under the purview of the NFA and was subsequently reclassified as a Destructive Device. This example is marked with an "S / (LIGHTNING BOLT)/ S" logo within a shield, followed by the Cobray logo on the left side of the polymer grip frame. Front of the receiver is marked "FMJ/ DUCKTOWN TN" above the S#, indicating that this example was retailed by Full Metal Jacket, a company associated with SWD/Cobray after Cobray relinquished their their FFL license. Metal components exhibit a phosphate finish overall, save for on the bbl., drum winder, and some small parts that exhibit a blue finish. Grooved black polymer frame and vertical foregrip, with folding steel buttstock and distinctive integral 12-rd. rotary drum. NFA registry indicates "Street Sweeper Sales of Georgia" in the mfg. block. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory finishes, exhibiting few small superficial handling marks overall. Knurled bbl. nut exhibits a couple scattered spots of silvering. Brilliant mirror bore. Proper manual mechanics. Polymer furniture is excellent.
