Astra Model 400 Semi-Automatic Pistol, #5223, 9mm Largo cal., 5.9" barrel, blued finish, gutta percha grips with Astra logo, fixed blade type front sight, integral fixed rear sight with "U"-notch, and lanyard loop. There is a Spanish Army acceptance mark on the trigger guard edge, with worn Astra logo and address on top of the slide. No visible import marks. Includes one blued steel magazine. Condition is fair as refinished, with muted markings, heavy wear and thinning to the bluing on the slide, frame and grip straps; dark finished trigger and safety lever. Knurled muzzle ring shows wear but no marring. Right grip is cracked at the top, left grip has a small chip at the bottom near the lanyard loop; otherwise, showing wear, age, and soiling. Action functions well. Bore is very dark and pitted, but may clean. Magazine shows general wear, with thinning to the bluing. Est.: $300-$500. (C&R/PPT)
