German M71/84 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #26783, 11x60Rmm cal., 31.6" barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock, dovetailed inverted-"V" front sight, and adjustable folding leaf rear sight with "V"-notch. Left side of the receiver rail is marked "I.G.Mod.71/84."; right side with "87.1887". Top of the barrel shank is marked "(crown)Amberg"; left side "(crown)L". There are additional crowned inspection stamps on the right and underside of the buttstock. Matching numbers on bolt assembly and rear barrel band; front band and buttplate do not match. Condition overall is good, retaining approx. 40% thinning and toning blue, showing general wear and toning. There is old rust pitting to the receiver and rear trigger guard tang. Wood is fair with bruises and scratches. Action operates smoothly. Bore rates good with defined rifling. Est:$500-$700. (Antique)
