^Lot 514 Italian Officer's Model 1889 Bodeo Double Action Revolver

Italian Officer's Model 1889 Bodeo Double Action Revolver, #F1203, 10.35mm Italian Ordnance cal., 3.5" barrel, blued finish, checkered hardwood grips, inverted-"V" front sight, fixed rear sight with "V"-notch, and swiveling lanyard ring. There are impact marks to the left side of the frame and the Italian manufacturer markings are partially legible; "&V/STELLI/1922/BRESCIA". The number "82" is stamped on front of extractor housing. No visible import marks. Pistol appears to be modified by shortening the barrel and refitting the front sight. Condition overall is good, retaining approx. 90% blue, showing some areas of toning, scattered dents and scratches. Right grip shows moderate signs of age and handling wear; left grip a little heavier marks and wear. Action cycles and extracts smoothly. Bright bore rates very good with defined rifling; chambers are clean and bright. Est.: $300-$500. (C&R)
