German M71/84 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #4064, 11x60Rmm cal., 31.6" barrel, blued finish with bright receiver and bolt assembly, hardwood stock, inverted-"V" front sight, and adjustable folding leaf rear sight with "V" notches, graduated to 1600 meters. Left side of the receiver is marked "I.G.Mod.71/84" and "1887" on the right side. Top of the barrel shank is marked "(Crown)SPANDAU" and the left side with "(Crown)F.W.". There are crowned inspection stamps on the right side barrel and stamped into the right and underside of the buttstock. Unit marked on buttplate tang "4.G.R./E.3.72.". Matching numbers. Condition overall is fine, retaining over 90% blue, showing light wear and toning to the barrel bands and rust patina to the bright buttplate. Wood with scattered moderate impressions and handling marks, to the even colored finish. Action operates smoothly. Bore rates excellent with well-defined rifling. Est.:$500-$800. (Antique)
