Frank Wesson 2nd Type Two-Trigger Single Shot Carbine, #3319, .38 RF cal., 24" octagon barrel, blue finish, iron frame, smooth walnut straight grip buttstock with smooth iron crescent butt plate, dovetailed front is missing the blade, modified Beach combination rear sight, slotted link on the left side, and extractor on the right. Mfg'd circa 1863-1876. Rifle is in good overall condition, metal has gone to an even brown patina, with light marks, and scattered light erosion. Factory markings are legible. Buttstock shows old dents and compressions. Action functions well and locks up securely. Bore is good, with light erosion, and shallow rifling. Est.: $900-$1,200. (Antique)
