1979 FORD F150 LARIAT SHORTBOX 4X4
This XLT custom Supercab/Shortbox started as a 2
wheel drive 460/C-6 truck. It was restored and
converted to 4 wheel drive by a retired
journeyman Ford store mechanic and his Ford
truck enthusiast grandson.
I bought it from the grandson in 2021. It drives
perfectly, straight, true, and solid. Lots of power
and great rumble from the re-built 460. The 4
wheel drive works perfectly as well – both
the hubs and shifter operate with ease.
I sold my F26 crew cab last year, when I found my
dream ’79 Bronco XLT. I don’t use this anymore
because I have so much fun in the topless Bronco.
This is a factory XLT Lariat, A.C, tilt wheel truck.
It has been lifted 4”, and has the perfect stance
with the 17” wheels and 35” Tires
