Item/Description: Two original wall hanging carvings: "Hills Approaching Jerusalem" and "Western Wall Jerusalem" from Max Goldberg's 'Images in Wood' series. Both pieces have pyrography (Wood Burning) details and are signed lower right Goldberg. Artist labels adhered to backings.
Max S. Goldberg (American, 1910-2002) was known for a unique technique of carving wood reliefs using Jewish themes and Wisconsin historical sites as his subjects.
