ROOK RIFLE. Cal. 380 Rook. S# 7129. Oct. 28" bbl. w/ blade front sight & 2 leaf rear sight. Round bodied action w/ sprays of acanthus scroll engraving; extends to grip cap. Action is opened by the curled lever that rest in front of triggerguard. Checkered walnut stock set w/ steel buttplate & grip cap. CONDITION: fair fading barrel blue mixing with brown patina showing peppery oxidation. Action has gray patina appearance with traces of blue, pinprick oxidation & a few marks. Good wood finish with dings, sm. gouges & drilled holes into left side buttstock. Good rifling with light pitting. PROVENANCE: Estate of Groves Herrick. (01-28900/MD). ANTIQUE. $300-600.
